Casa da Coroa is a 19th-century manor house on the church square of Alcantarilha, a traditional Portuguese town close to the beaches of the Algarve. The house has been fully renovated and now offers six apartments for long-term rental, with one, two or three bedrooms.
The interior has been rebuilt to current standards, with seismic reinforcement, full thermal insulation and acoustic insulation, so the apartments stay comfortable all year round. Every apartment has double-glazed windows, Mitsubishi air conditioning for heating and cooling in the living room and bedrooms, a heat pump for hot water and wooden floors. All six are rated energy class B, which helps keep running costs down. Kitchens come fitted with an induction hob, oven, built-in fridge-freezer, dishwasher and extractor hood.
Residents share a garden and an outdoor swimming pool, and each apartment has its own parking space in the basement garage.
Daily life is easy on foot. Alcantarilha has a market, supermarket, cafés, restaurants, a school, a play park and a health centre, all within a short walk.
Families have good school options nearby. Nobel Algarve British International School is about 10 minutes away by car. The Deutsche Schule Algarve, which teaches to the German International Abitur, is about 15 minutes away. Vilamoura International School, which offers the IB Diploma, is about 30 minutes away.
The beach at Armação de Pêra is about 4 km away. Praia Grande, the Salgados nature reserve, the Amendoeira and Salgados golf courses and the AlgarveShopping centre are all within about 10 minutes by car. Albufeira and Lagoa are around 15 minutes away.
Getting around is simple. The A22 motorway is close by, Faro Airport is about 35 minutes away, and Lisbon is about two and a half hours by car. Alcantarilha also has a station on the Algarve railway line, with trains towards Faro and Lagos.

Monthly rents range from €1,600 to €3,700. The apartments are let unfurnished, giving tenants the freedom to furnish them in their own style. For those who would rather move straight in, a furniture package can be arranged through the owner’s partner supplier, contracted directly by the tenant.
